A journey of hope and fight from Covid to CoWin
Today is a great day for our nation as #COVAXIN, #CoWin and #Covid19vaccine started. On Saturday m o ring Jan 16, 2020, came forward and inaugurated the Indigenous Covid 19 vaccine process.
The name of the vaccine is #COVAXIN which is developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medicine Research (ICMR) — National Institute of Virology (NIV). The indigenous, inactivated vaccine is developed and manufactured in Bharat Biotech’s BSL-3 (Bio-Safety Level 3) high containment facility.

The vaccine is approved by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) for Phase I & II Human Clinical Trials and the trials originated across India in July 2020. After the successful completion of the interim analysis from the Phase 1 & 2 clinical trials of #COVAXIN, Bharat Biotech received DCGI approval for Phase 3 clinical trials in 26,000 participants in over 25 centres across India. In the beginning face the vaccine has been provided to the frontline warriors.
Honour the representatives of the frontline warriors against the pandemic in #Covid19. Dr Harsh Vardhan, Minister of Health and Family Welfare in his keynote address, reiterated this. He warned that lack of care would make the job more difficult when following the Covid-19 advisory. On Saturday, the central government initiated the #coronavirus vaccine programme. The Government has created the #CovidVaccine Intelligence Network #CoWin app to handle the immunization campaign later. #CoWin is not available for download as of now. If released, the application would encourage users to register for vaccination. The centre now inoculates almost three crore healthcare practitioners and other frontline staff. The software, which is now used by policemen, includes lakhs of health workers who have been vaccinated first. When the app is started, it provides the beneficiaries with three registration options — self-registration, single registration (a government official would be helpful with data uploading) and mass uploading.
